These rectangular rattan placemats bring warm, natural texture to any table, with the same handwoven character as our round placemats but a shape suited to a cleaner, more contemporary table setting.
Use them under plates and glasses to protect your table, rest a hot pan straight from the oven or hob (the rattan is heat resistant), or hang a few on the wall as simple woven décor when they're not in use.
Each placemat is handwoven from sustainable rattan and available in two sizes and four colours, so you can mix and match to suit your table:

Are these placemats heatproof?
Yes — natural rattan handles the heat of a pan or dish straight off the stove, so it's fine to use them that way as well as for everyday place settings.
Will these suit a rectangular or square table setting?
They're designed with straight edges specifically for that. The 20cm x 30cm size works well under smaller plates or glassware, and the 25cm x 35cm size suits a full dinner plate.
Can I hang them on the wall?
Yes, they're sturdy enough to double as simple woven wall décor when they're not being used at the table.
How should I clean them?
Wipe with a damp cloth and let them air dry. Avoid soaking them, as prolonged contact with water can warp the rattan over time.
